Description

Federal and State Tax Credits are designed to encourage U.S. businesses to invest in improvements which increases their competitive position in the market. First enacted in 1981 by the Reagan Administration in a “Temporary Status.” In December 2015, the ‘PATH Act’ permanently extends the R&D tax credits for small to medium size businesses. Learn WHY you should be utilizing this tax credit, how you can use it to grow your busines, and what defines “research & development”. You may qualify and not even know it.


Join us as Smith Miller, founder and CEO of SWIMA member company Strategic Tax Solutions, tackles this underutilized manufacturer tax credit. Prior to founding Strategic Tax Solutions, Smith spent over ten years with two regional accounting firms building some of the industry’s best tax credits and incentives programs. During his career, Smith has developed a well-deserved reputation for his expertise and strategic approach to federal and state research and development tax credits and incentives.
